SA: Police search for second offender in kidnapping

ADELAIDE, April 19 AAP - Police were today continuing a search for second suspect in
the kidnapping of an Adelaide woman.

Lily Do, 25, was found bound and distressed but otherwise unharmed in a vacant house
in the northern suburb of Pooraka at 4.40am (CST) Saturday, about 20 hours after she was
snatched by two men wearing stockings over their heads.

One of the alleged offenders, Simon Parker, 25, of Pooraka, appeared in the Holden
Hill Magistrates Court today charged with her kidnapping.

Police said the kidnappers tied up Ms Do's husband before forcing her from her house
in suburban Prospect and into her car.

They then fled in the vehicle.

Police have confirmed an extortion demand was made to Ms Do's family, reportedly for $50,000.

Detective Inspector John Venditto today said investigations to locate a second offender
were continuing but he would not comment further.

Parker remained silent during his brief appearance today but mouthed "I love you" to
a supporter in the court.

He did not apply for bail and was not required to enter a plea.

Parker will reappear in court in June.
