SA: Crikey the croc in police custody

A 70-centimetre saltwater crocodile named CRIKEY has been found by police searching
a home at Tea Tree Gully, in Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs.

Police say the search late yesterday also uncovered a firearm, a quantity of ecstasy
and some stuffed animals.

Senior constable MICK ABBOTT says the wildlife discovery wasn't what police expected.

CRIKEY, who's thought to be about a year old, has been taken from the home by staff
of the Gorge Wildlife Park in the Adelaide Hills.

A 37-year-old man's being questioned over the reptile and the other items found.

He's expected to be charged.
