NATIONAL SUPPLY CORP. CLOSES PLUMBING, HEATING BUSINESS.(BUSINESS)(Company overview)

ALBANY -- National Supply Corp., an Albany-based plumbing and heating supply company with a history dating to the 1800s, has shut down.

``On Tuesday, Aug. 3, we officially closed our doors and are no longer in business,'' the company's phone message says. ``There is no more information at this time.''

National's defunct Web site listed Andrew Mincieli as owner since 1983, and said it grew from a $500,000-a-year business to annual sales of $7.2 million. Vice President Dominic Mincieli did not return calls for comment.

At the end of May, a competitor, Selkirk-based Security Supply Corp., bought the assets of National's branch in Saratoga Springs. …
